New World Order
“Naturally, the common people don’t want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a facist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.”
-Hermann Goering, Hitler’s Reich-Marshall
spoken at the Nuremberg Trials after WW-II
It makes a scary kind of sense. Everything about what has happened after 9/11 screams “Reichstag” all over again.
For those who don’t know – I digress:
If you were to ask most Americans how WWII started, most would say because of an attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese on December 7, 1941. That’s the American perspective though, because the real roots of WWII were way back in 1933, when the US was mired in the Great Depression, busy managing a 20 something percent unemployment rate and keeping people from starving.
Goering exploited the “Reichstag fire” which occurred in February 27, 1933… which many suspected (and still suspect) that he had engineered or allowed to happen…at any rate, the result of that fire was for the Government to implement a series of “temporary emergency laws” which destroyed the last remnants of civil rights in Germany. The next month, in March of 1933, the Reichstag passed “the Law for Terminating the Suffering of People and Nation”, also known as the “Enabling Law”, which essentially granted unlimited (and dictatorial) power to “protect the people” against terrorists such as the ones who were claimed to have set the Rischstag fire.
Goering, who now lives in infamy as a morally reprehensible war criminal, racist and sociopath seized on the “Enabling Law” as an opportunity to create the now infamous German Secret Police, whose founding mission was to provide Germany’s state security for it’s citizens. This was an organization where security and justice were tyrannically applied amid a very high level of secrecy and virtually no procedural checks. People who were targeted disappeared. The Secret Police investigated, apprehended, and sometimes even judged the suspect in secrecy, and were only accountable for their actions only to the highest levels of the government, and no one else.
The Enabling Law did away with any dissenting voices, because they were now terrorists according to law, and subject to torture, prison or death (or all of the above) by the secret police. If you, as a citizen, said anything the Government didn’t like, you were gone. Incredibly, the population was even urged to spy on each other and people became very afraid to speak and suspicious of their neighbors. This powerful law enabled Hitler to grab all the power he needed to pursue his heinous crimes against humanity unchecked. He took his army, one of the most powerful armies in the world at the time, to launch invasions of other countries and pursue his agenda. He openly flaunted world opinion. It took about 10 years from the Riechstag fire until we had a raging world war with nearly every major country forced to get involved and take sides. Interestingly Hitler, arguably insane, but with high approval ratings (at first), apparently believed he was on a mission from God. “I believe today that I am acting in the sense of the Almighty Creator” — Hitler Reichstag speech in 1938.
Now…some important current information….
“from page 51 of the Project For The New American Century (or PNAC), and we quote:”
“A transformation strategy that solely pursued capabilities for projecting force from the United States, for example, and sacrificed forward basing and presence, would be at odds with larger American policy goals and would trouble American allies. Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a new Pearl Harbor.”
That was written in 2000. In 2001 the US had what some would say is a “new Pearl Harbor”.
“Article I, section 8 of the United States Constitution gives Congress the authority to declare war. With the passage of H.J.Res. 114 and S.J.Res. 46, which became Public Law No. 107-243, Congress abdicated this responsibility and passed it on to the President.”
Follow me now…this isn’t hard…the people benind PNAC and securing the realm are guess who? Well, they are the people directing the president.

I am getting more and more worried about the economy and global meltdown.
The more things change the more they remain the same. The fundamental challenges we face today have changed little since Chaucer penned his observations on life and distilled them in a set of tales. In the modern city of Canterbury University Students analyse and dissect the meanings conveyed in texts set in that very locale in the 1300’s.
Youngsters face today’s Jekyll and Hyde society not knowing that the Constants remain; love, betrayal, desire, fear. Each story conveys a lesson as we study for our degree in the University of Life, the big diploma mill of which we are all Alumni. We sit grinning like Cheshire cats, thinking we have all the answers.
We call it a success when we pollute our atmosphere shooting down our own Satellite USA 193, Market Street Credibility is our preferred accreditation and recognition from our peers and fellow consumers, we Poison our Planet for Profit. Banks have crashed before and remember – you can’t eat money.
Globalization has consequences. Everything we do has consequences, even something simple like buying firewood. The Oregon ODA advises not to obtain anything from out-of-state because of all the insects and diseases it might carry. That is just a relatively local issue. Imagine all the things that are carried around the world each day – each hour. We must protect our future, just as we should remember our past. All over the world, From the UK to the USA and the Seychelles to Egypt, still, yes, STILL, there is no REAL alternative to fossil fuels.
Are we all going to purgatory in a wheelbarrow telling each other stories to pass the time? Sometimes I wonder!
Sorry guys, I had a long day and feel sick of the world. Rant Over!
