We are on lock-down…

That’s it. I’m going to print this and hang it on every possible entrance to the house.
We are sick. Every bloody last one of us, though luckily, I got my flu shot this year so it’s been relegated to a pretty severe case of the sniffles so far with me.
Disorder was first, he was patient-zero this time. Cost him a week of school (and a pretty goodly hit in the grade of one of his classes because his teacher is some sort of learning nazi who won’t give him the opportunity to make up the work, or the test he missed that supposedly counts as three assignments.)
Chaos came second… There is nothing more painful than a 3-year old with a 103 fever. He knows it hurts, and he looks up at you with those pained eyes with this “why can’t you make this stop” look on his face.
Then comes Panic, never to be left out of anything, including sickness. At one point the two of them (Chaos and Panic) were both sick at the same time, making life for Mrs. Shredderfeeder as miserable as it could be..
Or so she thought. The only thing worse (apparently) than watching your kids be sick is being sick with them.
Let me rephrase that – The only thing worse than watching your kids being sick *OR* being sick with them, is finding that you’re the last one to get sick, and now have to deal with Chaos (remember – aptly named and who is now “all-better!”) with your sensitivies heightened and ability to cope dulled.
At least we’re on the downside, and thanks to my FLU SHOT at least Mrs. Shredderfeeder is spared the horror of “Man Cold!’

You are 100% correct. Having both kids sick at the same time time sucks, but being sick with them is the worst! Good thing your flu shot worked and didn’t backfire like mine did 2 years ago. I haven’t gotten one since.
Nora´s last blog post..My 4 Year Old is Really a Man
we had it here, too. and now there is a cold going around my house. feel better!!
